He currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of the Umsobomvu Youth Fund (UYF).  Started banking career with Standard Bank and thereafter joined Rand Merchant Bank first starting in Public Finance and Risk Control, before joining the Private Equity division where he spent 3 of the 5 years with RMB. Left to start Prodigy Capital, a private equity fund associated with Prodigy Asset Management based in Cape Town. Returned to Johannesburg to start an investment banking (MEEG Capital) subsidiary of MEEG Bank Holding which also owned part of MEEG Bank (the former Bank of Transkei). He started Baswa Investment Company to participate in Black Economic Empowerment Transactions as a youth investment group.

Also served on the Board of the Black Management Forum Investment (BMFI), an investment company of the Black Management Forum. Former Deputy Chair of the BMFI and chair of the Investment Committee since 1998. He serves on the Council of the University of Limpopo.  Was recently appointed onto the Council for the Support of National Defence which is charged with supporting the National Reserve Force and the SA National Defence Force.
